Chapter 33// This can't be happening, not like this

Brielle's POV


I start yawning as I place my head onto Sidney's shoulder. I felt as he wraps his arms around me as I move closer to him.

"Why don't you all go back to the hotel and I'll stay here with James and LC," Deb says.

"That's sounds like a fabulous idea Deb," Nathalie says ask she and Mario got up from the couch.

"I think so too," I say as I lifted my head up off of Sidney's shoulder.

I get up off the couch as I walk over to Deb.

"Let me know if anything happens whether it's James or LC," I say.

"I will call you or Sidney's phone. I'll see you tomorrow," Deb says as I watch as Sidney grabs my hand as we walk out of the hospital.

"We walking back with your mom, Mario and Nathalie?" I ask.

"Yes," Sidney says.
A few minutes pass as all three of them walk out of the hospital as we begin heading back to the hotel room, which isn't too far away from the hospital.

"Think Deb will be ok by herself in the waiting room?" Trina asks.

"She'll be fine, I'm sure LC will know Deb is there and go out to sit with her for awhile," Nathalie says.

Knowing my sister, if she knew Deb was there alone she would go out and sit with her.

I take out my phone and start texting my sister.

"We just left the hospital, heading back to the hotel. Deb is in the waiting room if you need anything. If you need anything and Deb can't help you call or text me, you know I'll come up. I love you sis,"
I sent the text off as Sidney looks at me.

"Texted LC?" Sidney asks.

"Just told her we all left and that Deb is staying at the hospital," I say.

"That was a good idea, Brie," Mario says as we turn and head into the hotel.

"Yeah, just so she didn't freak out if I wasn't there in the morning or at night,"

"Knowing LC, she would have called you," Nat says.

"Yes she would have,"
We all pile into the elevator as Mario hit the number 5.
The doors shut and the elevator begins to move up as I close my eyes, hating it.

"You don't like elevators Brie?" Mario asks.

"Nope," I say as it stops moving and I hear the doors open.
I open my eyes as I walk out of the elevator with Sidney.

"Well we will see you in the morning," Mario says as him and Nat stop at a door.

"Night Mario and Nat," I say as Trina and Sidney says the same thing after me.

We walk more further down the all as Trina stops at her hotel room door.

"See you two tomorrow. I love you," Trina says.

"We love you too mom," Sidney says as we start walking to our hotel room.

My phone starts vibrating as I stop about two doors down from the hotel room.
I take out my phone as I see a text from LC

"I love you too sis, thanks for letting me know. I will see you in the morning. Rest well tonight,"
I smile as I start texting her again.

"You rest well for you, James and the little one,"
I smile as I walk to the door where Sidney stood with the door open.

"LC?" Sidney asks as I walk into the room.

"Yes," I say as I walk over to the bed and lay down.

"What did she say?"

"Just saying she loved me, thanks for letting her know we left and that she will see us tomorrow,"

"Ahh, you going to sleep in your clothes?"
I get off the bed as I begin to strip out of my clothes until I was in my bra and panties.

Crawling back into bed, I just see Sidney staring at me.

"What?" I ask as I watch Sidney's taking off his pants, getting into bed besides me.

"Nothing," Sidney says as he wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer to him.
I just smile as I am happy, happy to be here with him and happy my life got turned around.

"Night Brielle," Sidney says.

"Good night Sidney," I say as I feel him kissing my neck.
I close my eyes and start to drift off to sleep.


Sidney's POV


I hear a faint ringing sound as I open my eyes and try to wake up. As I get more awake I realize that it's Brielle's phone so I quickly get out of bed and go to the other side of the bed as I grab her phone from her pocket.

Tapping it, she missed 10 calls
5 from Deb
3 from LC
and 2 from Mario.

Something must have happened as my phone starts to ring.

Rushing back over to my side, I grab my phone out of my pocket to answer it.

"Hello," I say.

"There you are Sid, you need to get to the hospital with Brielle as soon as you can," Mario says.

"Whats going on? Is it LC?" I ask.

"Sid just get here as soon as you can,"

"Alright will do,"
I hang up as I get into bed and start moving Brie.

"Brie wake up baby. We need to go to the hospital,"
As soon as I say that, she shot up.

"Why? Is my sister ok?" Brie asks.

"I don't know, we just gotta get down there now," I say.
I watch as she rushes out of bed to get dress as I grab my pants and place them on.

"Let's go," Brie says as I grab the card key placing it into my pocket as I follow her out the door.

We rush to the elevator as the doors open and we get inside.

"Hope nothing is wrong with LC or the baby," Brie says as I grab her hand.

"I hope so too," I say as the doors shut and it begins to move down.

"I sure hope so Sidney,"
The doors open as we rush out and out of the hotel.

Brie starts to run so I run right behind her as make our way to the hospital.

I watch as Brie enters the hospital as I enter a few seconds after she did.

I hear crying as I see Deb in the arms of Mario as Brie is over by Nathalie trying to figure out whats going on.

I walk over to where mom was.

"Whats going on mom?" I ask as she has tears coming down her eyes, she rarely ever crys at all so I knew it was bad.


Brielle's POV


"Is my sister ok?" I ask.
Just as I do I see her emerging as I rush over to her and wrap my arms around her.

"Thank goodness you and the baby are ok," I say as I look at her, she has been crying a lot.

"He's gone," LC manages to tell me.

"Who's gone? The baby?"

"He's gone, Brie. James is gone,"
I wrap my arms around her tight as I see Sidney staring back at me as I mouth to him what happened.

I can't believe this is happening, I just can't.
 

Chapter 32// True love never ends

*We are still in LC's POV in this chapter guys, sorry for the confusing in the last chapter that this would be back in Brielle's POV.*


LC's POV

Me and Deb go walking through people as we reach the doors to the visiting locker room.

Deb opens the door as we walk in and I see Dana Henize just standing there.

"Hey Dana, where's James at?" I ask as we walk over.

"He's in the back," He says.

"Thank you," I say as me and Deb head to the back as we found him laying on a workout table and completely motionless.

"Is he ok?" Deb asks as the medical doctor turns his head around.

"Not sure, we got an amblunce coming to the arena to escort him to the nearest hospital," He says.
I just start crying as I turn away from the table.

"Can he speak?" Deb asks.

"Yes mom," James says.
I turn around, walking over to the table.

James's eyes are closed and his legs and arms are still but his fingers are moving.

"Thank god," Deb says as I grab his hand, not to move him much.

"Who hit me?" James manages to ask.

"Michael Del Zotto, that jelaous bastard," I say.

"What do you mean by that?" Deb asks.

"He's my ex, and I dated him for a few days. He must haven't got over it," I say as I see a stretcher coming in.
I let go of James's hand as I move to the farthest point in the room.

Tearing start coming down as I see my fiancée getting put on it and buckled into it.
I turn my head as Deb wraps her arms around me.

"Medic can we go with him? I'm his mother and this is his fiancée," Deb asks.

"Yes ma'am, you two can come," He says as I lift my head up and follow the medic's out with Deb right beside me.

Walking out of the locker room, I see the boys standing there.

"Sid tell Brie," I manage to say before we walk out of the arena.
They load James into the back of the amblunce first as I follow a medic.

Sitting down, I look down at him, his eyes still closed and tears still falling from my face.

"Lauren I'm ok," James says as I look down at him.
He looks like he is sleeping.

"Sir can you open your eyes for me?" A parmedic asks.
I watch as James's opens his eyes and looks around, looking right at me.

"Sorry for the light, just need to check them,"
I watch as she examines his eyes.

"Can I close them?" James asks.

"Yes sir,"
I watch as he looks at me and closes his eyes.

I just couldn't stop crying as I turn and look over at Deb.

"It's ok," Deb says as she wraps her arms around me as I place my head on her shoulder, watching James just lay there.

A few minutes pass as the amblunce came to a stop.

The doors open as I see two nurses standing at the bottom as the parmedics move the stretcher down as they hop down from it.
Deb moves and climbs out of the amlubnce thanks to a doctor.

"Come on LC," Deb says as I move and sit down on the edge of the amblunce as I hop down off of it.

"How are you related to Mr. Neal?" A man asks.

"I'm his mother Deborah Neal and this is his fiancée Lauren Collins," Deb says.

"Alright, let me walk you two the waiting room,"
We follow him down a sidewalk and into the building through opening doors.

"Please sit down in here and we will come out once we examine him," He says as I sit down on the couch as I start crying.

"He's ok LC," Deb says as I lift up my head.

"He's in the hosptial, he isn't ok," I say as I seen Deb get up.

"Stay here," She says as she walks out.

I'm staying here, why does it matter? I'm not going anywhere until I have James with me.

Sighing I lay down on the couch that me and Deb was on as I close my eyes.
This isn't good for the baby at all.

"LC, Lauren wake up,"
I open my eyes as I see Brie standing there.

"Brie?" I ask as I use my hands to clear my eyes.

"Yeah, you ok?" Brie asks.

"Not really," I say as I sit up and she sits next to me.

"I'm sorry sis," She says as I place my head on her shoulder as I see Deb sitting on a chair in the corner as I lift up my head to see Sid and Trina on a couch while Mario and Nat were on another one.

"Is the game over?" I ask.

"It's been over for about an hour now, I've got here as soon as I found out," Brie says.

"Who won?" I ask.

"We did," Sid says.

"James like that," I say.

"Yep,"

"Are you all here for James Neal?"
I turn my head and I see this man with a lab coat on and a clipboard in his hands.

"Yes sir, how is my son?" Deb asks.

"Well James has a concussion, we had to evluate him on that. Thats why it took so long. We don't know how bad it actually is but he's showing signs for a concussion. Besides the concussion he has a few scratches and brusies," He says as I let out a sigh of relief.

Nothing is broken.

"When can we see him?" Brie asks.

"Now if you would like, but I only want one at a time right now please. He is awake and speaking,"

"Go first LC," Deb says.
I wipe my tears off my face as I stand up and follow the doctor back to this room.

"He is in this room ma'am," He says as I push open the door.
I see him laying there with a dim light on and montiors all over his body.

"Whos there?" He asks.

"It's me James," I say as I walk over and sit next to the bed.

"Lauren?" James asks as I grab his hand.

"Yes its me," I say as I start crying.

"I'm so happy to hear your voice from these doctors. What happened to me?"

"Someone started a fight with you and you ended up here," I manage to say.

"Geez,"
I just stay beside him as I feel a kick.

Having James's hand in mine, I move closer to the bed and place his hand on my tummy.

"Is that a kick?" James asks.

"Yes. The baby says hi daddy,"
I see James smiling.

After a few minutes, I decide to get up and let Deb come in here to see her son.

"I'll be back," I say.

"Honeybear stay," James says.

"Deb needs to come see you,"

"Alright, hurry back after her,"
I smile as I exit the room and walk back out to the waiting room.

"How is he?" Deb asks as she gets up.

"He's in good spirits. Go see your son," I say as she hugs me and heads back to the room.

I walk back over to Brie and sit besides her.

"So he's good?" Sid asks.

"He's the same James but I know he doesn't feel well and has loss of what happened," I say.

"That's normal, he will probably be out for awhile," Sid says.

"How do you know that?" I ask.

"I've been in his place before. I got mine in January of 2011 and returned for two weeks in November of 2011. I came back in full armor before the end of the 2011-12 season. It will take him sometime but his might not be as bad as mine as too. My sister had a concussion when I did but she returned sooner then I did," Sid says.

"Wow, I didn't know how bad concussions can be," I say.
I see Deb coming back out.

"Alright who is next," She asks.

In about an hour time, everyone has visited James.

"He's asking for you sis," Brie says as she is the last one to visit him.

"Alright," I say as I get up and head down the hall then into his room.

"That you LC?" James asks.

"Yes," I say as I walk over and sit down in the chair like I did before.

I watch as James opens his eyes up and turns and looks at me.

"Your beauiful baby,"
I smile as tears came down my face as he places his hand on my tummy.

"I love you Lauren,"

"I love you too James,"

Chapter 31// Surprise or maybe not

Authors Note- This chapter will be placed in LC's POV. The next chapter will contuine in Brielle's POV.


LC's POV

Me and James just cuddle on the bed until I fall asleep.


I open my eyes as I see the sun hitting me square in the eyes.
Rolling over, I come face to face with James as his eyes are watching me.

"You scared me there," I say.

"Sorry honeybear, I just love having my hand on your tummy, growing tummy," James says as I he turns over.

"What are you doing?"
I start to sit up as I see James with a black box as he gets up and gets on one knee on the bed.

"James, what in the world?"

"Lauren Catherine Collins, you are the most gorgous woman that I know. You are having our first child and I want you to be here with me for as long as we live. Will you marry me?"

Tears are coming down my eyes as I nod my head.

"Yes James I'll marry you,"
I watch as James takes my left hand and place the ring on my ring finger.

"You made me the happiest man,"
He kisses me as we hug.

"So now what? Announce it?"

"Not right now, right now we need to change and head downsairs,"

"Perfect timing Mr. Neal,"

He smiles as he starts to climb off the bed as I do the same.

After getting off the bed, I just stop and take a look at my engagement ring.

I just couldn't believe that James did this, I'm the happiest girl alive.

"Babe what are you wearing today?" James asks as I look over to see him holding a pair of my jeans and a jersey that is his.

"I'll wear that," I say as he smiles as he throws them on the bed but on my side.

I slowly but surely changed from my other outfit to this one as I smile.

"I'm going in the bathroom for a minute," I say as I was passed him and straight into the bathroom.
My morning sickness as go away for now but I take out my phone.

Smiling, I take a selfie in front of the mirror as I take another but with my engagement ring up this time.

"We got to get engagement pictures before the little one is here," James says as I turn and walk back out.

"Agree, we will have the summer for that though. engagement and pregnancy photos have to be done,"

"I didn't even think about the pregnancy ones, do I have to be there?"

"Yes, your our child's father,"
He is being goofy.

"I know, oh did you hear anything from your sister or Sid cause I haven't,"

"I haven't either since she called me yesterday. don't know if she will be here or not with Sidney. Let me call her before we head down and stuff my face,"

I hit Brie's number as I place it by my ear.

"Good morning LC," Brie says.

"Hey did you come with Sidney last night?" I ask.

"No I'm in Sewickley with Trina, why?"

"Just curious, did Sid get off to his flight on time?"

"Yep, Trina took him this morning while they let me sleep in,"

"Ahh, well I'm gonna miss you here,"

"I'll see you when you get home, I need to go do something,"

"Love ya sis,"

"Love ya,"
I hang up.

"Nope, she is still in the Brugh with Trina," I say.

"That sucks, well let's head downstairs for breakfast, pretty sure I know mom is down there already," James says.

"Probably, did she know you were going to propose?"
We head for the door.

"No one did honeybear,"
We walk out of the door and head for the elevator.

"Alright,"

We got in and out of the elevator in less then a minute as we head to the conference room.

Looking in the room, I see my sister sitting right besides Sidney.
I smile as I go into the room.

"You liar," I say as she starts to laugh.

"Come on, I had to do that too you," she says as I walk over to her as she stands up slowly.

"I'm glad your here though, when you get in?"

"Last night around 9,"
I shake my head.

She takes her seat as I sit down right next to her.

"So whats for breakfast?" I ask.

"What do you want honey?" James asks as he stands there.

"I would like medium eggs, toast, bacon and milk. Double the bacon though,"
James walks away as I place my hands under the table so no one can notice my ring.

"Here honey, give me your ring. I'm gonna re-propose in front of everyone after breakfast," He whispers
I find that a good idea, even tho we will be the only ones who knows the real proposal.

I slip off my ring as I quickly hand it to him as he kisses me.

"Thank you," I say as he walks away.

"You eating for two there?" Brie asks.

"Yes,"
I wasn't gonna be smart with her.

I quickly ate my food as I look around my table to see the plates are empty.
I watch as James gets up and heads over to where Dan is at.

"Wonder why he is over there?" Deb asks.

"No idea, let me go see," Mario says as he gets up and walk over to the table.

"Excuse me please, be quiet," James says as I laugh.
I never heard a room this quiet with everyone in here.

I watched as he walks over to me and gets on one knee.
He grabs my hand as I try not to laugh.

"Lauren Catherine Collins, will you do me the honor of being my wife?"
I again have tears falling down my face.

"Yes I will marry you James," I say as again he places the ring on my finger as he wraps his arms around me.

People start clapping as James starts showing the ring off.
I smile.

"stay there, James wrap your arms around LC and you put out your ring," Deb says as we do what we are told as she took the picture.

"Now your a official Neal now," Deb says as she wraps her arms around me to give me a hug.

"I'll be a Neal for sure, I know I'm carrying one," I say.

"Congratsulation to James and LC," Mario says as I blush.
I sit back down as I turn to my sister.

"Cant believe your getting married and having a child. Congrats sis," Brie says as she hugs me.

"Thank you sis, your helping me plan it,"
I watch as Sidney congrats James as all the guys come one at a time to say congrats.

I could die happy right now.

After the announcement it starts to clear out to people leaving for the bus or going back up to their room.

"Are you going to the game honeybear?" James asks.

"If my sister is, I am," I say.

"I'm going, I've missed two and a half months of this," Brie says.

"Then I'm in,"

"Good, let's head onto the bus,"
James helps me up from the chair as he grabs my hand in his.

"Your mom staying here?" I ask James.

"She is already on the bus with Mario, Nat and I believe Trina," James says as we walk out of the door and straight onto the bus.

I take the first seat as James sits next to me.

"Why did you want to sit up front?" James asks.

"I want to be the first one of the bus,"

"Ahh, so we don't have to wait. Did you pack everythin in your purse,"

"I'll be fine James, I'll have my sister and Deb with me,"

"Ok, I just worry about you and you too little person,"

"person? James its a baby,"

"It's a person, I don't know what else to call it,"

"Call it a baby until we know the gender,"

"Yes honeybear,"
I turn as we kiss.

"Then once we know the gender then it's names,"

"James Neal Jr or the second,"

"We are not naming him after you if we have a boy,"

"Yes ma'am,"
He knew not to make me mad.

The bus beings to move as I look down at my growing belly.

"Daddy is just a goof ball sweetie,"

"Hey I am not,"

"Yes, I'm sure Sid, Brie and Geno would agree,"

"Agree with what?" Sid asks.

"That James is a goof ball," I say.

"He is," Sid says.

"See,"

"You know nothing Crosby," James says.
I laugh as the bus stops and the doors open.

James gets up and extends his hand down to me.
I grab it as he helps me up out of the seat as I head down the stairs.

When I get down, James grabs my hand into his as we head into the building.
This place it's huge, I can feel how big the arena actually is.

"So you think youll be ok to sit in the stands?" James asks as we reach the visitor locker room.

"Yes, I got a lot of people around me,"

"Well Mario, Nathalie, and Trina are sitting up in a box. If you want to sit up there that's fine. You'll have mom and I believe Brie down here with you. Hey Sid is Brie staying down here,"

We stop.

"Yeah I'm sitting down here and so is Trina, she's gotta help me," Brie says.

"Alright,"
James s worried that the fans will attack me or something since I got a penguins jersey on but I know that won't happen.

"Boys in the locker room now. We got to go over game plans," Dan says.
James wraps his arms around me to give me a hug.

"I'll be fine," I say.

"Alright, I love you.

"I love you. Kick the Rangers ass,"
He smiles.

I turn around as I walk over to my sister, Deb and Trina.

"You ready?" Deb asks.

"Yes,"

"We will have you girls between us, so Deb will lead the way then LC, Brie and me," Trina says.

"Sounds like a plan," I say.

I start to follow Deb down the stairs to two rows away from the glass.
Sitting down, I look over at Brie.

"You ok coming down those stairs?" I ask.

"Oh yeah I'm fine, Trina helped me as well," Brie says.

"Good,"

A few minutes pass as it gets dark in the arena.

"Please welcome your New York Rangers,"

Fans around us start getting up as I see in the darkness the guys coming out the run way.

Then the lights came on so the people could sing both the National Anthem and the Candian National Anthem.

After that the game begun and what happened next I didn't expect.

"No James!!!!" I yell as I see James on the ice and no.
He is on top of James, that man who never got over us.

"Come on LC," Deb says as we move passed my sister and Trina to go up the stairs.
I turn back to see blood on the ice and Michael escorted to the locker room.

"Let's go see James," Deb says as I turn around and follow her.

I hope he is ok, he has to be!
 

Chapter 30// We are lucky to have each other in our lives.

Me, Sidney, and Trina just hang out on the porch as we watch cars go by and just talking away.

"I wonder if they made it to New York yet?" I ask, as my cell phone is inside the house.

"I'll go get your phone," Sid says as he stands up and heads inside the house.

"He's a good man, and I know he is lucky to have you," Trina says.

"Oh I know, I think it's me who is lucky to have him," I say.

"Your lucky to have each other," Trina says.

"Agreed,"
I turn as I hear the door close and Sidney is waking back out.

"Here you go babe, LC messaged you," He says as he hands me the phone and I check it.

LC: Me and James have safety landed in New York, we are going to our hotel now. Just let me know what happens with your appointment this afternoon.

I hit reply
"I will let you know for sure, how the little one and I don't mean James lol,"
I send it as I close the phone.

"She make it?" Trina asks.

"Yep, her and James both, just have to let her know how my appointment goes," I say.

"When is your appointment?" Trina asks.

"Oh damn, its 11:45, your appointment is in 30 minutes, we better head down there," Sid says as LC messaged me back.

"The little one is good and so is James lol,"
I close my phone as Sidney helped me up.

"Let me walk, you can help me into the car," I say as Sidney backs off.

"Good luck at your appointment Brie," Trina says as I grab onto the railing as I walk slowly down the stairs.

"Thank you Trina,"
I walk down the sidewalk as I reach Sidney's Range Rover.

"Ok now it's my turn," Sidney says as I feel him pick me up into his arms as he walks over to the passenger side door.
He opens it and places me inside on the chair.

"Thank you babe," I say as I buckle up and wait for him to get inside the driver seat.

"You good?" Sid asks as he places the car in drive and heads down the driveway.

"Yep,"

"Good, so how did LC do during the trip there?"

"She didn't say how it went but she said that the little one is good and so is James,"
Sidney chuckles.

"James has a influence on LC I swear,"

"No that's all her, she has been the person who likes to be social and likes to have fun, in turn me I'm not that way. I'm the shy one and likes to keep to myself most of the time,"

"Well I'm gonna have to help you be more open, you got to get used to it since you are Sidney Crosby's girlfriend after all,"
I smile at his comment.

"That's true, I am Sidney Crosby's girlfriend, do you know who he is?"
He looks over at me.

"I heard of him before, he plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins and your one lucky woman,"
I smile as he take my hand into his.

"I am lucky to have him in my life,"
Sidney just smiles as we contuine our way to Pittsburgh then to Mercy hospital which isn't far from Consol Energy Center.

Sidney parks his car on the street infront of the main enterence to the hospital.

"Let's go inside and wait for your doctor to see us," Sidney says as I watch him get out as I unbuckle and open the door.

Sid stands at the door as he smiles.

"What?" I ask as he places his arm under my legs then the other one on my back.

"Nothing just like looking at you,"
He lifts me up and out of the car.

"Do you want to walk or do you want me to carry you inside?" Sid asks.

"Carry me inside then I'll walk once inside," I say.
I watch as we go into the building as Sidney places me gently onto the ground.

"Thank you, so where are we going?" I ask as I being to walk slowly.

"I know it's Dr. Bailey's office which is to the right," Sid says as we walk right into the office as I go to the window.

"Name please?" She asks.

"Brielle Collins," I say.

"I'll let him know your here, please have a seat,"
I turn as I walk down the nearest spot and take a seat.

"So what did you and mom talk about when I walked away?" Sidney asks.

"That we are lucky to have each other and we are," I say as Sidney leans over a kisses me quickly.

"Collins, Brielle," A nurse says as I get up and slowly walk over to her.

"Follow me,"
I followed her to a back room as she closes the door after Sid walks in.

"So how are you doing with walking and your head?" She asks.

"I've been good, I've been getting up on my own but only need a little help. I haven't had any types of headaches or anything like that with my head,"

"Alright, let me get the doctor in here so he can examine you better,"
She walks out of the room as I look at Sidney, who taken a seat.

"I hope it's going away,"

"A concussion never goes away, I never told you this but in 2011 at the Winter Classic I got hit so hard and I got a concussion. I've had to go through that and I still am but it's not bad now a days. sometimes during practice I get hit, I feel a little headache but not much,"

"Wow, I never knew that happened to you,"

"Yeah, I guess it just hasn't came up til now,"

"yep, I'm glad your ok to play hockey though,"

"Oh me too,"
A knock comes at the door.

"Good afternoon Brielle, how are you today?" the doctor asks as he walks over to me and sits down the in the doctors chair.

"I'm good,"

"Good, so you told the nurse that you been walking on your own with little help, that's a good step. So no pain in your head for the concussion?"

"No sir,"

"Ok, I'll let to get a scan to see how it is, if that's ok,"

"That's fine,"

"Ok good, you are ahead of the game Brielle, people that have concussions usually take months and you seem to be acting fine. So no headaches right?"

"Right,"

"Good, maybe you don't have a concussion, I could have been wrong but another doctor said it was as well. Well let's get you into the machine. Follow me,"
He gets up as I start walking slowly over to the door.

"I'll be right here when you get done babe," Sidney says as I smile at him.

"Ok, wish me luck," I say laughing as I walk out of the room to see a wheelchair there.

"We have to go into the main hospital which is on the other side of the hospital for the scan, we don't want you walking all the way over there," The doctor says.

Sighing, I sit down into the wheelchair as it begins to move.

I watch the hospital go by as we arrive to the room as I get up and follow the nurse inside the room.

"I want you to lay down there, keep your head and torso still as you can for me," She says.

"Yes ma'am," I say as I walk over to the table as I lay down.
She places a big thing around my upper part of my body.

"Be still," she says as I close my eyes, thinking I was with Sidney.

It feels like forever when I hear "You can open your eyes,"
I open them as I see the big thing removed as I slowly get up and get back into the wheelchair.

"Thank you we got a good shot for the doctor," She says as we begin our journey back to the other side.

Once back in the room, I see Sidney stand up and walk over to me.
"Here," He says as I grab his hands as he helps me out of the wheelchair.

"The doctor will be back in a few minutes," The nurse says as she walks out and closes the door as my phone begins to ring.

 I reach into my pocket as I sit down in the chair besides Sidney.

"Hello," I say.

"Hey, you at your appointment? I just got worried when you didn't message back," LC says.

"Oh yeah been at my appointment, I got a scan to see if my concussion has cleared up or if it is a concussion. We will find out when the doctor get back in,"

"Oh good, what if you don't have a concussion could you fly to New York with Sid?"

"Possilby not sure though,"

"Oh ok, well text me what is the results to it. James wants to take a nap and he wants me to lay with him. Talk to you in a few,"

"Ok Love you,"
I hang up as the doctor walks into the room.

"Well Brielle, you do not have a concussion like we thought you did. You must have had something different then that. But your head scan looks really good. There is nothing in there but good brain,"

I smile, I didn't have the concussion.

"Does this mean she can fly?" Sid asks.

"Well nothing today but yea I don't see why not. If her head does start hurting though just in case go to the ER where you are at,"

"Yes sir, so can she do everything now or no?" Sid asks.

"Yes she can but like I said if your head hurts, come into the ER,"

"Ok, so are we done?" I ask as he laughs.

"Yes we are Brielle,"
I get up and give the doctor a hug.

"Thank you, so when should I start walking better?" I ask.

"Very soon, should be back to yourself next week or so,"

"Thank you again doctor," Sidney says.

"Your welcome I'll see you later,"

We both walk out of the room and head back to the main doors, to where Sid is parked at.

"That was the best news I've heard from the past two months," Sidney says.

"Yes it was, does this mean I'm going to New York with you tomorrow?" I ask.

"I would love for you to come with me but if you want to stay here, I wont stop you,"

"You know I'm going with you silly,"
We both smile as we walk out of the hospital and to the Range Rover.

Sidney opens the door.

I sit down onto the chair as I try to move my legs into the car.

"Need help?" Sidney asks.

"No I want to do it,"
It took me awhile but I moved and got my legs into the car.

"Good job," Sidney says as he leans down and gives me a kiss.

"Your going to pick me up next time,"
He smiles as he closes the door and walks over to the other side of the car.

I take out my phone as I see Sidney getting in and taking off.

"Hello," LC says.

"Hey it's me, well I have no concussion after all but the doctor wants me to still take it easy," I say.

"Well that's good, so that means you can be here tomorrow with Sid,"

"I don't know if I'm coming or not, I'll still have to ask Sid about that,"

"Aww, well he will let you come,"

"We will see, well I'm gonna let you go just wanted to let you know about that,"

"Alright I love ya sis,"

"I love you too,"
I hang up as Sid starts laughing.

"Your gonna get me in trouble with your sister by saying that," Sid says.

"No I'm not, she will love me when she sees me tomorrow,"

"We could get a flight tonight and surprise her tonight since she knows im suppose to come in tomorrow,"

"Do it,"
Sid hits a button in his car.

"Call Mario," sid says as I stay quiet.

"Hey Sid, whats up?" Mario asks.

"Hey can you send the jet back here tonight?" Sidney asks.

"Whats for? throught you want to be with Brielle,"

"Mario, I don't have a concussion, I can fly," I say.

"That's amazing news, sure whats time you both wanna leave?"

"After 7,"

"Alright will do, see you two later on tonight,"

"Bye Mario," Sidney says as he hits the red button.

"So what now?" I ask.

"Back to the house to pack then head to a special spot here in Pittsburgh," Sidney says.

"Where at?"

"You will see,"

"Aww Sidney your no fun,"
He just laughs as we make our way back to Mario's house.

Chapter 29//Taking good care of you

Opening my eyes, I see the brightness of the sun coming into through the windows as I hear a knock on the door.

"Sid, Brie,"
It is LC.

"I'm up," I say softly not to wake up Sidney.

"Do you want breakfast?"

"Yeah, I'm getting out of bed,"

"You need help?"

"No, I can do it,"
I move the covers off of me as I kiss Sidney on his forehead.

Moving my legs, I make my way down to the end of the bed as I place my feet on the ground.
Slowly but surely I start walking/hopping a little as I go out of the room and shutting the door.

"Sure you don't need help?" LC asks as we slowly walk out of Sidney's wing and into the main house.

"Yeah, I can do this,"
I was bound and determined to do this without anyone help.

"Good morning Brie, you need help?" Trina asks as I see her getting out of her chair.

"No I'm good," I say as I watch my sister pull out a chair for me.

I sit down as I see LC sit down by James.

"Where is Sid?" James asks as I see Mario walking into the kicthen.

"He is still in bed sleeping," I say.

"Why didn't you get him up?" James asks.

"I'm not rude," I say smiling as Mario sits down at the head of the table.

"Where is Sid at?" Mario asks as Nathalie came, placing plates in front of us.

"He is still in bed," I say.

"Ahh, sleeping in. How are you this morning Brie? feeling any better?" Mario asks.

"I'm ok, getting the hang of walking again,"

"Good, I'm glad to hear that. Nat are you going to New york still this afternoon?" Mario asks as I dig into breakfast.

"Yes I am and LC is also coming to New York for the next two games," Nathalie says as I turn and look over at LC.

"I already cleared it with my doctor Brielle," LC says as I was giving her a stare.

"Alright, just don't want nothing to happen to either of you," I say.
I am surprised that LC is going on the trip but at the same time I'm not. She wants to support James and I respect that, only wish I could travel to New York for the games.

"Nothing well," LC says as I look at James with my stare, like a stare that if they get hurt, your dead.

"When does the plane leave anyways?" Trina asks.

"I believe at noon and it's 10 now," Mario says.

"Excuse me, got to go wake up Sid,"
I watch as Trina heads for the wing as I finish my breakfast up.

"Thank you for making breakfast Nat," I say as I turn, trying to get up out of the chair.

"I'll get your plate Brie," Nathalie says as I get on both of my feet.

"I want to do it," I say as I walk very slowly to the sink as I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

"Morning babe," Sid says as I felt goosebumps go over my body.

"Morning," I say as I turn around in his strong arms to face him.

"You sleep well?"

"I got up before you, so I guess I did,"
He leans over and kisses me.

"Good, I'm glad you gaining your walking ability back,"

"Me too, I found out LC is going to new York with the team,"

"Oh, is she ok too?"

"Yeah but keep and extra eye out for her please,"

"I will,"
He kisses me as I start walking back to the table as I didn't see James, LC, Nat or Mario.

"Where they go?" I ask as I sit back into my chair.

"To get changed and ready to leave. You ready Sid?" Trina asks.

"I'm not going with the team today mom, I got a early flight in the morning to New York," Sid says as I look over at him.

"Don't you have pratice today?" Trina asks.

"The team does yes, but I told Dan I was coming in the morning of the game and he said that is fine as long as I make it there by 10 in the morning for morning skate,"

"You'll have a early flight then,"

"That I will, can you take me to the airport abour 6 tomorrow morning?"

"Sure, is your dad going with them today?"

"Yeah, I told him to go ahead without me and he said basically I needed to go today but he understands why I'm delaying it,"
He looks over at me with the biggest smile on his face.

"Ahh, want another day with her before you leave,"

"I would have done it whether she was here or still in the hosptial, I waited til last minute to leave,"
Just as she finished that he cell phone begins to ring.

"Excuse me," Sid says as he picks up the phone and walks away.

"I told you he is crazy for you," Trina says as we both smile.
I watch Sidney as he talks on the phone.

How was I ever blessed to have such a good man come into my life and my life taking a whole 360 degree turn.

"Babe you have an appt this afternoon at the hosptial. They want to see how you are doing and how much you are imrpvoing," Sid says as he takes a seat besides me.

"Guess you picked the right day to stay behind," Trina says.

"Yea, mom are you still staying here tomorrow?" Sid asks.

"Yes I am, someone needs to be here with Brielle while she is recovering," Trina says.
I smile.

"Hey Sid, can you take me, LC and my mom to the airport? We want to get there a little bit early," James asks.

"Sure, let me get dressed real quick," Sid says as she rushes into the wing.

"Why so early James?" I ask.

"Just want to get first pick at seats,"

"Ahh I understand then,"
Just as I see Sid coming out, I stand up.

"Babe you want to go?" Sid asks as I nod my head.

"That's why I stood up, I was going to ask you," I say.

"Alright, where is LC at?" Sid asks as I start walking slowly into the living room as I see my sister standing there with her purse.

"Are you going with Sid?" LC asks.

"Yep," I say as she decides to head out with me instead of waiting on Neal and Sid.

"I wish you could go," LC says as we both walk slowly down the steps then down the sidewalk to Sid's car.

"Babe you ok?" Sid asks as I stop and see him getting besides me.

"I'm ok Sid," I say as he leans over and kisses me.
I let LC walk ahead of me as I open the passinger side door and getting into the car.
Grabbing my legs, I brought both of them into the car as I close the door.

I let out a big breath of air as I take a few seconds to catch up.

"I'm helping you next time," Sid says as I buckle up.

"Ok," I say as I feel him being to back out then go down the driveway.

"Going to your house Neal?" Sid asks as he stops at the end of the driveway.

"Yes, my mom should be waiting outside," James says as Sid turns to the right to head for James's house.

"Alright," Sid says as he reaches and grabs for my hand.
He interlocks our fingers together.

"You are dedicated to her Sid," James just says out of the air.

"Yeah I am and I know you are to LC. Is she asleep?" Sid asks as I turn my head and seen her eyes close.

"I'm just resting, I didn't sleep well," LC says as I turn around as Sid is pulling into James's driveway.
I see Deborah walking down the driveway as I hear her opening the door up.

"You ok LC?" Deborah asks as I turn around watching Deb buckling in.

"Yeah, I didn't sleep so good last night," LC says.

"Get used to it,"
I smile.

She will have to get used to the baby keeping her up, or waking her up in the middle of the night. Then she might have restless legs, thats the worst.

I face forward as Sidney pulls out and heads down the road to the airport.

"Sid are you going with us?" Deborah asks.

"No, I'm flying out tomorrow, going to spend the day with Brielle. She has an appointment this afternoon, so I picked a lucky day to stay home," Sid says as he squeeses my hand.

"Ahh well thats understandable,"
For the rest of the trip, everything is silence as Sidney pulls up to the back of the airport and parks near the Penguins plane.

"Thank you Sid," Deb says as I unbuckle.

"Your welcome," Sid says as I turn to see all three of the getting out then grabbing their baggage.
A knock came from my window as I look to see LC standing there.

Rolling it down, LC gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Let me know everything about the appointment," LC says.

"As long as you let me know when you land in New York,"

"I will, Sid take care of her until you leave tomorrow," LC says.

"You know I will LC," Sid says.
LC smiles as she walks away from the window as I watch her, James, and Deb head over for the plane.

"I wish I could go to New York then you and your mom could go early with the team," I say.

"I wish you could too but at the same time I rather you get cleared before you fly,"

"Agree,"
We smile at one another as Sidney turns around and heads for the Lemieux's house.

"Are we going to do anything today besides going to the doctors appointment?" I ask.

"You want to see Pittsburgh?" Sid asks.

"Like how?"

"You will see, if the doctor says its ok too,"

"Ok,"

Sidney is just the most caring guy that I ever met. He respects me and he loves me dearly. Where did I ever find him at? Why did he choose me out of any other woman in Pittsburgh?

I just smile the entire way back to the house as Sidney drives up the driveway.

"Mario, Nat and my dad are gone," Sid says as he parks besides my Range Rover.

"How can you tell?" I ask as I unbuckle and opening my door.

"Mario's sports car is missing. Stay put,"Sid says as I sit in the seat until I see him.
He wraps one of his arms around my back and the other went under my legs as he picks me up.

"I'm not to heavy am I?" I ask as I look at him.

"Never,"
He leans a little to kiss my square on the lips as he then heads up the sidewalk and to the front door.

"How was the ride?" Trina asks as she is sitting on the front porch.
Sid places me on the swing next to his mom as he took the chair.

"It was fine, I love car rides," I say.

"Glad you do cause you'll be taking alot of care rides with him," Trina says as it makes me laugh.

"I'm fine with that," I say, looking back over at Sid.

Chapter 28// We knew it!!!

"Hey James we gotta go," Sid says.

"What time is it?" James asks.

"Like 10 til 6,"
I watch as Sid and James gets up.
Sid leans over and kisses me as I knew James was doing the samething.

"I love you, Bre," Sid says.

"I love you too,"
He smiles at me as I do the same

"Dad you coming?" Sid asks as he walks into the dining room area

"Sid, your dad went with Mario and your mom to the arena," Nathalie says as she walks out of the kitchen

"I gotta hurry up, We car pooling Nealer?"
I turn to see James still kissing LC pretty passionately.

"James,"
He lifts up his head, "yeah me and mom will car pool with you. Love you LC,"
He kisses LC and walks over to the door as Deb gets up and hugs LC.

"Protect your sister," Deb told me.

"I always do,"
She smiles as she walks over to James as all three of them walk out the door.

"Why did you decide to stay home?" I ask, knowing my sis was suppose to go to the game.

"Didn't want to go though all those fans and with the possbility of that chick showing up there. I would need rushed to the hosptial if I get that upset again,"

"Don't worry about her,"
Just as I say that the door bell rings.

"I got it girls," Nathalie says.
I turn my head to the door as I watch her open the door.

"You need to get off my property, now please,"
I get up off the couch.

"Brielle where you going?" LC says.

"Stay here,"
I slowly walk over to the door and get besides Nat who is talking to the chick who thinks she is our sister.

"Brielle I have something to tell you," she says.

"I don't want to hear it, you caused something bad today and I dont want to listen to you. My mom says get off the property so do it," I say.
I wasn't going to take any of her shit.

"I really do have something to tell you though,"
She has papers in her hand.

"Is it in the papers?"
She hands them to me.

"Now leave, I'll read them,"
She just stood there.

"Please," Nathalie says as she turns around and walks away.
I turn around as I start reading the papers as I hear the door shut.

The DNA result

Miss Brittani Heather Collins is not Michael James Collins daughter. The blood results didn't match up.
I look up and head over for the couch.

"who was at the door?" LC asks as I walk behind the couch and stop.

"That chick from the mall. she isn't our sister like she said she was. The DNA doesnt match," I say.
I hand her the papers

"That's good, I wouldn't like her for a sister anyways. I have the best sister right here," LC says as I sit besides her and she throws the papers on the ground.

"You girls want dinner before the game?" Nathalie asks.

"Yes please," LC says.

"Bre?"

"I'm good thank you,"
Nat walks into the kicthen area.

"Aren't you hungry sis?" LC asks.

"Not really, I'll ask for something if I get hungry,"

"Your not sick are you?"

"Nah, just not hungry,"

Nathalie came back in with a plate for LC as she changes the channel to Root Sports so we can watch Game 2 of the second round.
She moves the recliner as she sit down in it.

I just focus on the TV.

And hour later the puck is dropping to begin game 2.

"Why didn't you go Nat?" LC asks.

"To take care of you two, you are pregnant and Brielle has a hard time walking right now. I will be going to games 3 and 4 in New York with Mario. I believe Trina and Deb are staying behind to help out for thoses times," Nathalie says.

"You could have went," LC says.

"I couldn't of, you two are like my older daugthers. Never leave family behind,"
I smile at the fact that Nathalie thinks of us as her daughters when she already has 3 of them.

Watching the game, Sid and James are the only ones who scored the whole game and they won the games 3 to 0. A shutout.

"Yes we won, hear that baby," LC says as I watch her rubbing her tummy.
That makes me wish that Tiffany was here with me, but I know she didint make it for a reason. Dont know the reason.

"The boys will be happy when they get back home," I say as Nathalie turns the TV to a different channel, a movie channel which had the very beginning of Sweet Home Alabama on it.

"You girls seen this?" Nat asks

"Oh yeah, this is my favorite movie as well as LC's," I say as LC is laying down on the rest of the couch.

"You ok LC?" Nathalie asks.

"Yeah just got a little tired,"
LC has her arms around her belly as I lay down on the other half of the couch.

"You ok Brielle?" LC asks.

"I'm tired too,"

"Your not pregnant are you?"
She was laughing.

"No I'm not,"
I slowly begin to close my eyes. I couldn't wait for Sid to get home.



Sidney's POV


"Do you think the girls are up?" James asks.

"No idea. Think LC might be out cold but I dont know about Bre," I say.
My parents drove home with Mario as James's parents went to Nealer's house for the night.

I turn the wheel in the drive as I hit in the pin as the gate opens.

"Finally we are here," James says.
James just wants theses games to end so he can come back to LC, hes just too excited after theses games.

Turning, I park the range rover besides Brielle's dark black one.
As soon as I shut down the engine James gets out.

I get out as I had a smile on my face walking up the sidewalk and to the front porch.

Walking into the house, I see Nathalie sitting in the recliner.

"She is asleep over here Sid," she says in a soft voice.
Walking over to that way I see her fast asleep as I turn to see James picking up LC in his arms.

"Night Sid," James says.
I get in front of the couch as I slightly bend then over to pick Brielle into my arms.

Once into my arms, I head off for my wing.

"Night Nat, see you in the morning," I say softly.

"Night Sid,"
I head for my wing as I walk into that area, I kick my door shut and head down the hall to my room.

Once in my room, I walk over to my bed and place Bree down softly then I move her gently by the wall as I strip and get into bed.

"Sid, good game," Brielle says in this soft voice.

"Thanks babe,"
I kiss her on the lips as I get close to her and wrap my arms around her.

"I love you," I say.
I hear her lightly snoring, she is out again.

A smile grows on my face as I close my eyes.

Chapter 27// Your in my life for one and only one reason, and that is to love me.

"Who are you?" LC asks as I look at the girl then back to my sister.

"I'm your sister, Brittani," she says.

I watch as LC gets up out of the chair.

"We don't have another sister, Brielle is my only sister," LC says as I could see she was getting upset.

"Yes you do, me. I'm our fathers lost daughter,"

"WE DONT HAVE A SISTER!!!" LC yells at the top of her lungs as I wheel in front of her as I turn to see Nathalie and Deborah.

"You need to leave," I say.

"You don't believe me?" she asks.

"No, now you need to leave. My sister is pregnant and she doesn't need you here. Your not family, we don't even know who you are or how you found us,"

"In the news that you killed our father, Michael James Collins,"

"Get outta here now," I say.
I watch as she started crying as she ran away as I turn around to Lauren.

"You ok?" I ask.

"Just in some pain," LC says.

"Take her to the bathroom to see if she is bleeding, if she is we are going to the ER," I say.
Nathalie and Debroah got up with LC and walked to the bathroom.

"Wow that was a shocker," Trina says.

"Yeah, I just hope LC is losing the baby cause of that girl, I swear if she does I'm gonna be hurt more then Lauren is," I say.

I just wheel my chair back and forth as I see LC walking back with Deb right beside her.

"I'm ok, no bleeding and no more pain," LC says as I wheel over to her and wrap my arms around her and her baby bump.

"I'm glad, I told Trina if something would have happened I would have to hurt someone," I say.

"Your such a good sister but me and this little one is ok,"
She hald her belly.

"Should we all get some food and head back to the house before the boys get home?" Nathalie asks.

"I'm finish with mine, I'm going to go walking around," LC says.

"I'll tag along," Deborah says as I watch them walk off.
I knew she was gonna call James.

"So what do you want for food?" Nathalie asks as Trina sat down next to me.

"It doesnt matte Nathalie, as long as it not a hot dog, hamburger or chinese food," I say.

"Alright,"
she walks away.

"Trina I dont know what I would have done if she would have lost that life," I say.

"Everything is fine, she is fine and the baby is. You'll see when she has her next appointment," Trina says.

"I know, If I was her I would call to get in today,"

"Thats you, LC knows she hasn't lost her baby,"

"I know,"
It's just making me upset, guess something is close cause my hormones are every where.

Nathalie comes down with a tray full of subway as she sits down and passes out everyone their lunch.

"Hope a turkey and chicken sandwich is ok," Nathalie says.

"It's fine Nathalie, thank you," I say as I see LC coming back in a wheel chair with Deb pushing her.

"You ok" Nathalie asks.

"Yeah got tired of walking," LC says as Deb wheels LC by me as LC grabs my hand.

"I love you sis," LC says.

"I love you too, sure your ok?" I ask.

"I'm fine, I just called James and he is heading back home to meet me,"

"Why don't we head back to the house then, so we can meet James," Nathalie says.

"You sure? You can finish your lunch,"

"It's fine LC, let's wheel these two out and head back to the house,"
Guess Nathalie is the head of household lol

I wrap my sandwich up as I place it in my bag as I begin to move as I see Deb pushing LC in front of me.
So that means Trina is pushing me..

I'm glad that we are getting out of here, really didnt want to be in there any longer.
I look as we cross the parking lot as we came to Nathalie's SUV.

"LC do you want front seat or back seat?" Nathalie asks.

"Give front to Brielle, I'll take the back," LC says.

"You sure sis?" I ask.

"Yes,"
Trina stops the wheel chair by the passinger side door as I get up out of the chair.
Grabbing the door handle I open the door slowly as I got some help keeping it open.

Moving my way, I get into the car as I seen Trina put both of my legs into the car.

"Thank you," I say as she smiles closing the door.

I look back as I see Deb sitting besides LC as she is laying her head on Deb's shoulder.
I smile as I turn around as I hear a door shut.

"Are we ready?" Nathalie asks.

"Yes," Trina says as Nathalie back out of her place and head down the road to the house.

Just as we were near the house, my phone begins to ring.
Taking it out of my pocket, and answer it

"Hello," I say.

"Where you guys at? Nealer is pacing. Whats going on?" Sidney asks.

"I'll explain it to you later and we are on the street," I say.

"Alright, see you in a couple then, I love you,"

"I love you too,"
I hang up the phone just as Nathalie enters the pin as we drive up the driveway.
She turns and parking right besides the house.

A door opens as I turn to see James helping LC out of the car.
He is good for her.

Just as I open the door, I see Sidney standing there.

"Hey," I say as I try to get out of the car.

"Let me help you,"
He grabs my behind my back and under my legs as he pulls me from the car.

"Thank you,"
I wrap my arms around him.

"Your w elcome, whats wrong with LC?"

"This girl said she is out sister and LC just got too mad and upset over that. She wasn't bledding but in pain. I told your mom if something happens to that baby and it was that girls fault I was going after her,"

"I'm glad shes ok over all that,"

"Me too, ohh I heard you told your mom what happened to my baby,"

"I'm sorry, I was just talking about you and that came up,"

"Sid, its ok I'm not mad. Your mom got me out of the baby store when we were at the mall and I'm, glad she did. I cant take baby things right now,"
Just as I say that his hot lips came onto mind as he kisses me passionately, more passion then ever.

"Wow what was that for?" I ask.

"Cause I can," Sidney says.

"You two lover coming in?" James asks.
I smile as Sidney turns and heads for the door as I see James holding LC in his arms too.

Once inside, Sidney walks over and places me on the couch besides LC as James is behind her on the other side.
Sid then took a seat besides me.

"We will be in the kicthen,"I turn to see Deb, Nat, and Trina all head into the kicthen.

"Thank you for being my sister, sorry I scared you earlier," LC says as she grabs my hand.

"It's ok as long as you and the baby are safe, I'm good," I say as she wraps her arms around me and hugs me.

"I love you little sis,"

"I love you too,"
We smile at each other as we both turn at the same time and look at James and Sid.

I place my head down on his shoulder as he wraps his arms around me.
