Chapter 23// Discharged home

I lay there in the hosptial with a sleeping Sidney right next to me. It was good to be back next to him.

"Brie you still awake?"

"Yeah, I can't get to bed,"

"Want me to get up and go over to the chair? You wouldn't hurt my feelings. I know theses damn beds are too small,"

"Would you?"
He gets out of the bed as I watch him pull a recliner over to the bed.

"This feels much better," Sidney says as he lays in the chair.
I hit him.

"Watch it Sidney,"
I smile a I close my eyes to try to sleep.


I open my eyes to hearing people talking.
Turning my body around, I see Sidney talking with James.

"Your awake babe. Did we wake you?" Sidney asks.

"No, where is LC?" I ask.

"She is down with my mom in the cafe. She was straving," James says.

A knock came at the door as it opens.

"May I come in?"
It is the doctor.

"Sure," I say as I sit up in the bed.

"Well we are looking to releasing you today, you will have to have weekly visits here to get checked out. We usually dont release people this fast but in your case we will. Who are you going home with?"

"Shes going home with me," Sidney says.

"Alright, you got to keep your eye on her, if she isnt with you make sure someone else is,"

"Can she go to the home game tomorrow?"

"I advise she stay at home for the rest of the week, no traveling, work, nothing but staying at home if she can,"

"Alright she will do that,"

"I'll be back in soon or a nurse should be,"

"thank you doctor," I say

"Your very welcome Brielle,"
He walks out of the room.

"Looks like my day just got better," Sidney says.

"Yes it did, wait til LC finds out," I say

"She will want to stay there," James says.

"We are back, your awake sleepyhead," LC says as she walks into the room.

"Yep, I get to go home today," I say.
She walks over to me and hugs me.

"My baby sister is finally going home, you going to stay with Mario and Nat?"

"Yeah I'm staying in there house, i rather have me close then them driving down to check on me,"

"True, I'm so excited,"

"Your already showing, how many weeks are you again?"

"I'm 12 weeks,"

"Look more then that,"

"Hey don't make me feel fat,"
I laugh as she sits at the foot of the bed.

"Does anyone have any clothes for me to wear?" I ask.

"I'll call Nathalie and ask her you bring some up," Sidney says as he stands up and walks over to the window.

"I'm so glad that your finally getting out of here," LC says.

"Me too," I say
I just sit on the bed as all four of us talk until a nurse walked in.

"You ready to go home?"
She comes in with a smile on her face.

"Yes, two months is too long," I say.

"Yes it is, I need to get your IV out of your arm,"

I sit up in the bed as the nurse got all the gloves on.

Turning my head to the window, I look at Sidney as he smiles at me before the nurse takes out of the IV.

"You are good," She says as I turn back around to see  bandage over the spot where it was.

"So ready for the papers to get out of here?" She asks as Sidney walks back over.

"Yes," I say

She goes over with me directions and what happened. she then talked to Sidney about what he needs to do.

"Alright sign here,"
Sidney grabs the pen and signs his name.

"Alright Brielle, hope you dont have to be back in here," she says.

"Me too," I say as she walks out.

"Just got to wait on Nathalie," Sidney says.

"Hey baby, you want to head on over to Mario's house? so we can be there when they get home?" James asks.
LC slowly gets off the bed.

"Yes, Deborah are you coming?" LC asks.

"Yes I am," She says as she walks over to me.

"I was praying for you and I'm glad you get to come home,"

"Thank you Deborah," I say as she hugs me.

"We will see you soon sis," LC says as she hugs me again as her, James, and Deborah walks out of the room.

Sidney walks over to me and puts his hand down for me to grab to get out of bed.

"Wow," I say as I walk around the room with Sidney to get my barrings back.

"You will get the hanging of walking again," Sidney says as we walk around the room again.
My legs still like jello.

"I'm going to need help walking for the next few days," I say as a knock came at the door.

"I know, I will be here for you,"

"Not tomorrow and the rest of the week. You got games and traveling,"

"You will have alot of people to help you. Come in,"

The door opens up and Nathalie stands there.

"Your up, I'm glad your coming home," Nathalie says as she comes into the room and closes the door.

"Me too, thanks again for letting me stay in your house," I say as she places the clothes on my bed.

"Your welcome sweetie, remember you are family just like Sidney is,"
She hugs me as I wrap my arm around her while the other one is in Sidneys hand.

"Well do you need help?" she asks.

"I think Sidney came help me," I say.

"Alright, I will be downstairs waiting on you two,"
She leaves the room.

"You been bumming rides?" I ask as Sid smiles from left to right.

He takes me back over to the bed as I sit down.

I try to takes off my gown but Sidney stands up and unties the back of it as I kick it off me.

Sidney then gets me dressed in a long dress that is purple with sparkles on it.

"Now you just gotta stand up," Sid says as he grabs me hand and pulls me up.

"Thank you, can I try to walk myself?" I ask.

"Yea baby,"
I walk very slowly to the door as I open it.

I then walk the rest of the way down the first level of the hosptial and out the doors.

"Shes right in front," Sidney says.
I walk slowly over to the car as Sidney opens up the front door.

He then picks me up and puts me into the car.
I knew I couldn't of done that by myself.

I then slowly move my legs into the car as Sidney closes the door.

"How was walking again?" Nathalie asks as Sidney gets into the car.

"It was hard but felt good. Thanks Sid," I say.

"I knew you needed help Brie," Sidney says as I felt his hand on my shoulder.
Nathalie takes off down the road.

"Oh I know it had to been hard," Nathalie says.

All the way home, I talked to Nathalie and Sidney as Sid keeps his hand on my shoulder and arm.

Nathalie then pulls up into the driveway.

"I'm going down to your house and turn around to come back up. I want to drop you off by the sidewalk in the front," Nathalie says.

"Ok," I say.
So she goes all the way down, turns around and drives back up.

"Here is your stop," She says as she stops by the sidewalk.

"Thank you," I say as I heard sidney get out of the car.

He opens the door as I move my legs to the side as he reaches on and picks me up from out of the car.

He places me on the ground as I begin my slow walk up to the stairs.

"You want help?" Sidney asks.

"I want to try," I say.
I tried lifting my leg onto the step but it didn't work so I try to just simply walk up them.

I grab the handle as I make my walk up the stairs slowly.

Sidney places his hand on my back the whole time, just in case I fall

After making it up to the top, I stopped.
I then feel me being picked up.

"Sidney what are you doing?" I ask as I see Mario open the door.

"I'm walking you into the house, you don't need to wear yourself out,"
He walks with me in his arms into the house as everyone I knew is here.

"Where do you want to sit?" Sidney asks.
I look and LC and James were on the loveseat so I looked over to the recliner.

"The recliner," I say as he walks over and places me down.

"It's good to be back, I still dont remember alot though, the the most important thing is I know who you all are and what you mean to me," I say.

Mario, Nathalie, James, LC, Troy, Trina and Deborah all looked at me.

"We are glad to be here for you sweetie," Trina says.

I wonder what my life would be without everyone here and Sidney.

Looking up at Sidney, he leans over and kisses me.

Chapter 22// LOVE

*Back in Brielle's Point of View*



I look at the TV as I see the game on TV.

"So who is taking the place of Sid?"

"I believe Geno is,"
I watch the game as I see the camera going over to the bench, Sidney is sitting there.

"Well looks like Siddo is here and playing the game,"

"looks that way,"

I watched as Sid took the ice and got the puck from Kris as he shoots it right into the net.

"Go Sidney," I say as I clap my hands.

"He's on his A game tonight,"

"Looks that way,"
I watch the rest of the period as Sidney got another goal and so did James.

"Brie,"
I turn and seen Nathalie.

"Nathalie, it's so good to see you," I say as she walks in and hugs me.

"Mario called to me to say you are awake and that Sidney is on cloud nine," Nathalie says.

"He was pretty happy before he had to leave,"

"Oh he's on TV,"

"So Sidney how is Brielle? I know it off topic," Dan Potash asks.

"She is awake and doing well. I'm winning this for you Brie,"

"Thanks Sid,"

"He sure does love you, never seen him any happy then when he is with you. You scared all of us including James's parents and Sid's,"

"I scared Troy and Trina?

"Yes they were worried about you and they seen how much you mean to Sid. Whenever he came home, he was so depressed. It made his parents feel bad,"

"Are they still here?"

"Yes we are,"
I turn and see Trina standing there.

"I'm sorry I made you stay here," I say.

"Not your fault Brie, we flew in and out. Sidney was in alot of pain when you were in the coma. The doctors said they might have to put you on life support,"

"So he does care about me and love me,"

"Yes he truely does, never been this wild over one girl. Your special, I'm going to tell you what he said. He says mom I haven't dated Brie that long but I want to marry her someday. She makes me the happiest man alive. that is what he said to me the other night before we flew back to Nova Scotia. He really does love you,"

"Oh my god, he wants to marry me,"

"Yes he does, I dont know when or if he will ask but I know he will. You are a Crosby wheather you are married to him or not. We will always love you,"

I put my arms out as I hug Trina.

"Hey Brielle,"
I look up and seen Troy standing there.

"Hey Troy," I say as he came over and hugged me.

"We are so glad you are awake," Troy says.

"Me too,"

"Sid was a mess without you,"

"I know, Trina told me,"

"Yeah he is playing a hell of a game granted he just got there. Oh its back on mind if we watch it with you?"

"Go ahead, the more watching the merrier,"

I watch the TV as Sidney grabs the puck.

"Go Sid," Troy says.
Guess I got wild Crosby fans on my hands.

I watched the rest of the game with Troy and Trina as the Pens win 8-1

"Yes," I say as I wanted to jump outta bed but I couldn't.

"You are Sid's lucky charm for sure," Troy says.
Sidney got 5 goals out of the 8.

"Ms. Collins, we are going to move you to a new room in the hosptial, theses people can go with you," A nurse says.

"Ok," I say as I put the railings up on the bed and wheel me out.
I knew Troy and Trina would follow so they can tell Sidney.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"The third floor in the main hosptial, the doctor who has been with you, will still be your doctor,"

"Ok," I say

She wheels me into this nice blue room as she places me where I need to be and hands me the remote.

"Need anything?" She asks.

"No I'm good,"
She walks out as Trina comes walking in.

"Troy is calling Sidney to tell him whats going on, it's good news you got moved," Trina says.

"It is where sis Nathalie go?"

"She is down in the ER still, I need to call her,"
Trina walks out of the room as I grab the remote and turn on he TV.

The penguins were off of the TV.
What game was this? I know it has to be a playoff game.

"Sidney knows," Troy says as he walks back into the room.

"Good, Troy what games was just on TV?" I ask.

"Second Round, Games 1. Penguins Versus Rangers,"

"Who did they beat in round 1?"

"Devils,"

"Ahh, did Sid travel?"

"He had too but he knew you were in good hands by Mario and Nathalie. We were back in Nova Scotia for a bit during round 1,"

"Ohh ok, are you guys going to be staying longer?"

"We will stay until you get better,"

"Thanks,"

"Nathalie is on her way up," Trina says as she walks back into the room.

I just sit in my bed as I think how much Sidney has missed me. He thought I might die but I didn't. That man care so much about me.

Me, Troy, and Trina talk alot until a knock came at the door.

"Come in," I say as the door opens and I see Sidney standing there.
Tears were coming down my face as he rushes over to me and hugs me so tight.

"I won that game for you Brielle," Sidney says as he kisses me.

"Your just so sweet," I say.

"It meant alot to me. I'm so happy I get to stay with you,"

"We are going to leave now, see you two tomorrow," Troy says as I hear a door shut.

Sidney tried to get his big butt into the bed with me as I moved over so he could.

"I miss you so much baby,"

"I miss you too Sid. Your mom said something to me today,"

"What was it?"

"You want to marry me, you want me around,"

"I do want to marry you, if I had a ring I'll ask you now,"

"Sidney, I remember us now after your parents and Nathalie came in,"
He kisses me with such passion.

"I love you Sidney,"

"I love you Brielle, can't wait until we get you out of here,"

"Oh me too, I hate hosptials,"
Sidney just chuckles as I smile.

Chapter 21// Shes awake!!!!

A couple months have past by and Brielle still hasn't came out of her coma and I'm just dying for her to come out of it. I stayed here when the boys had their away games but I did play the home games since CEC is just down the road from the hosptial. They haven't put her on life support yet.The whole arena has prayed for Brielle ever since their first game back from Philly. Now we made it to the second round in the Stanley Cup playoffs, we beat the Devils. I had to fly to New Jersey for away games but I knew Brie would be in good hands with Mario there.


"Thanks Mario, I'll be back out got to get my lucky kiss from Brielle," I say as I get out of the car and walk into the hosptial.

Today is the first game of the second round and I made a tradition of coming in and kissing Brie for good luck. It's worked so far.

"Sidney, exciting news today," The front nurse says as I stop

"What?" I ask.

"Follow me," she says as I walk behind her to Brielle's room.

Once I looked in, I seen Brielle has her eyes opened. She made it though it.

"Brielle," I say as I walk in.

"Sidney," Brielle says as I give her a light hug.
Tears escape my eyes.

"Where is LC?"

"She is at the arena, I'll have to text your awake. Your alive baby,"

"Baby? You never called me that before,"

"She has short term memory loss. she should be good in a few days," The doctor says.

"I have, you are my girlfriend. We have feelings for each other,"

"You sure? All I remember is LC and James are together and we are not,"

"Let me call LC ok?"
I walk out of the room with tears in my eyes as I head outside the door.

"Sidney you ok?" Mario asks as he walks over to me.

"Brielle is awake bad thing she has short term memory loss," I say as I dial LC's number in my phone.

"Hey Sid, whats up?" LC asks.

"Your sister is awake and asking for you?" I say.

"Oh my god, she's awake? I'm on my way,"
She hangs up with me as I close my phone.

"Mr. Crosby?"
I turn to see the doctor standing there.

"Yes sir?" I ask as I walk over to him.

"You ran away before I could tell you whats wrong with her. She does have a concussion as well. Thats probably were the short term memory loss came from. Her concussion doesn't seem as bad as we thought when she woke up. Her ankle is fine and her neck is as well. She will need someone 24/7 when she does get out of here and I wouldn't say her sister cause she's pregnant,"

"Alright, I'll try to arrange something for that, when do you think she'll get out?"

"Looks like tomorrow or Monday unless something happens along the way,"

"Thank you so much for looking after her, you stayed with her and she came out of this,"

"Your welcome Sid,"
He walks back in as I walk over to Mario.

"She will be coming home tomorrow or Monday but she will need someone 24/7 and can't be LC cause she's pregnant. They probably don't want the extra stress to affect her,"

"Probable, me and Nathalie can help. She can always stay with us,"
Just as he finishes I hear two car doors.

"She's really awake?" LC asks as she walks over to me.

"Yes but before you go in she doesn't know your pregnant. She can't remember me and her are together either. She has short term memory loss with a concussion. She will be coming home tomorrow or Monday with 24/7 care and it can't be by you. The extra stress would be bad for you and the baby, so me, Mario and Nathalie will watch her,"

"I just wanna see her Sid," LC says.

All four of us walk into the hosptial.

"Go on back, two at a time,"
I decided to go back with LC.

"Your awake finally," LC says as she walks into the room and gives Brie a hug.

"I've missed you, you pregnant?" Brie asks.

"Yes I am, I'm 12 weeks along. You seen the first ultrasound," LC says.

"I don't remember that,"
I watch as LC takes it out of her purse and shows it to Brie.

"Oh my god Lauren,"
Brie sits up as LC tries to hug her.

"You had Sidney when you first saw it,"
She looks over to me.

"How long have I missed?" Brie asks.

"Two months, you have been in a coma. I have been here every day with you even at away games. I would leave hours before the game and leave an hour after. I never wanted to leave you and when I did Mario and Nathalie was here with you. I'm sorry I put you in here,"

"You hit me Sid?"

"No Brielle, I would never hit you. John hit you and you fell on your head, knocking you into a coma. John was saying crap so I fought him and when he got on top of me you tried to stop it only to get knocked on your head by him. I feel responsable for you being here,"

"Why was John here?"

"I don't know that answer,"

"So me and you are a couple?" Brie asks me as I walk over to her as LC is in the chair.

"Yes we are, I wouldn't lie to you," I say.
she looks at me as I sit on the bed with her.

Me and her start getting closer as we then kissed.

"I missed you Brielle, my life has been hell," I say as I get as close to her so I can put my arms around her to hug her.

"I'm sorry Sidney you went through hell just for me. I love you,"

I lean up and just look at her.

"Did you just say you loved me?"

"Yes,"

"I love you too Brielle,"
I lean over and kissed her again and again.

"Ok, you two stop making me cry," LC says as I look over to her.

"I'll go get James so he can say hi," I say.

"You'll be back Sid?" Brielle asks.

"Yes, I will,"
I get up and walk out of the room so happy as I can be as I walk out of the waiting room.

"Go Nealer. Your girlfriend is crying,"

"Sid you didnt do it did you?"

"We made her cry in joy, go say hi to Brielle,"
He gets up and walks back there.

"So your happy," Mario says.

"She is starting to remember me, she just said I love you too me. I wanna cry more then I could," I say.

"I'm glad she is starting to remember, can't wait to see her," Mario says.

I just talk to Mario so much until James and LC emgeres from the back.

"I'm so happy she's alive, thank you for being here for her sid," LC says as she hugs me.

"I couldn't live her LC, you know that,"

"I know, me and James are going back to the arena, not long before game time. You better show up Sid,"

"I'll try,"

"Congrats man," James says as he and LC walk out.

"Let's go see Brielle," Mario says as we walk back to her room as she sat there.

"Baby look who I have," I say as Mario walks into the room.

"Mario!"

"Hey Brielle, how you doing?" Mario asks as I walk in behind him.

"I'm pretty ok except knowing I slept two months, have a concussion and memory loss,"

"Yeah, did the doctors say you will be going home tomorrow or Monday?"

"No, really?"

"That's what he told me," I say.

"Does LC still live with me?"

"No, she lives with James and his mom for the pregnancy, she won't be the one to take care of you due to extra stress on herself and the baby," I say.

"Who will?"

"Me, Nathalie and Sidney will be, you are going to have someone with you 24/7 for awhile," Mario says.

"Alright that sounds good, does that mean I'll stay in the big house?"

"I want you in my house when you are recovering but you don't have to be," Mario says.

"Do you have a guest room for me?" Brielle asks.

"If you come into the house, you'll be staying in my bed and I'll take the guest bed until you are better," I say.

"You sure Sidney?"

"Yes baby I'm sure, if you want me in there ok if not thats ok too. don't want to push you,"

"Thanks Sidney, wait isn't a hockey game going on tonight?" Brielle asks just as she turns on the TV.

"Well the game has just begun but we are wondering where Captain Crosby is,"
Shit, I really don't want to go.

"Get your ass outta here and win that game Crosby,"

"Yes ma'am,"
I kiss her on the forehead as I normally did and rushed out of the room and out of the hosptial.

I hop into Mario's car as he takes off for the arena.

"I'm so glad she's awake, can focus on the hockey game," I say.

"Yes you can, hope she doesn't distract you though since she is awake," Mario says.

"Will never happen, just cant wait until she can come to a game,"

"Ask the doctor when you see him,"
For sure I'm doing that.

Mario then pulls into the parking garage area as I just get out and rush into the arena.

Chapter 20// When I met her

 *Sidney's point of view for the next few chapters*


Sitting there crying, I just think about the day that I met Brielle.

I walk back into the room as I sit down.

"Where you go Crosby?" James asks.

"I had to go help Mario outside the with parking.

I look at all the employees as this one girl just stands out to me. 
She has purple dress on with purple flats on.

"You see something you like sid?" TK asks me.

"No, just looking at who will be in the building with us,"

"That's a lie," James says as I punch him.

"Ok girls these are the men of the Penguins team, guys stay up and say your name so they know who you are," Ray says as I watch all of them stand up, well who was all there.

I stand up

"I'm Matt Cooke,"

"I'm Tyler Kennedy, goes by TK,"

"I'm Sidney Crosby," I say as I look over to Neal.

"James Neal,"
Of course he doesn't follow the older guys. 

"Boys let the girls sit down,"
I get up as I pass Brielle as she takes my seat.

Walking over to the wall, I just stand there. I wouldn't make a lady stand up.
That Brielle girl has some kind of thing on me that I don't know what it is.

Mario then announces the split party as I being to make my way to the pool with Neal.

"You got something for the girl in the purple,"

"Shut up Nealer,"

I walk into the pool room as I strip out of my clothes and had my bathing suit underneath me.

I then go to the diving board as I jump right into the pool.

"Glad you got a heated pool Mario," I say.

"Yeah so does everyone else Sid," Mario says as I see the girls walking into the pool room.
Brielle caught my breath with the penguins bathing suit she has on.

I then dive under the water as I see two sets of feet go in then another set. I then swim up and knew one was Nealer so I grab them.

"No not this time Crosby!!!"
He jumps into the pool right on me.

I swim up as I breath.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah," James says as he pushes my head into the water. 

While I'm in the water I seen someone get pushed into the water.

I swim up as I see it was Brielle.

Then I seen flower get pushed into the pool.

"Ha thats what you get," LC says.

"Go LC!" Brielle exclaims.

 "Your tough, you gotta be around us," Marc says to LC.

"Who wants to play a game of volleyball?" TK asks.

 "We have 6 people, so 4 on 2," Marc says.
"Not fair flower. We need another girl to join," James says.
"I will," joy says.
"So who will be out/" Marc asks as joy gets into the pool.
"I will," I say as I begin to get out of the pool
"Sid get back in there, I'll play on the girls team," Mario says.
"You sure?" I ask

"Yeah," mario says as I hop back into the water.
"the old man can't beat us," Tyler says, maybe he was trying ti whisper.
"Don't start trash talking to me Tyler. We will win," Mario says.
"With Sid on our team we can't lose," Marc says.

The girls are going first and LC was serving first.

I watch as she jumps and the ball comes close to me.

"Thats didn't count," I say.

"Sorry," LC says as I grab the ball and toss it back over to her.

I played the best volleyball that I have in awhile but LC hit it over and no one got it.

"Girls won," Mario says as they do high fives.

"Damn you suck Sid," James says.

"shut up Neal," I say as I splash James.

"Your dead Crosby," James says I being to swim and I swim over to Brielle and hid behind her with my hands on her shoulders. 

"Come after, I got a girl," I say.

"Dont do it Sid," LC says as I go under the water with her as I release her and swim to the other side of the pool.

"Everyone ok in here?" Mario asks.

"Yea," I say

I get out of the car a Mario talks to the girls.

"What time is it?" Brielle asks.

"8:30," I say.

The girls then head out of the room as I walk out of the room not behind them but I have my clothes in my hand.

Walking into my wing, I go straight to my room and change into boxers and place my clothes back on.
I then head for the living room as the girls are in there.

 "Come on in Sid," 
I walk into the room as LC started talking to Brielle who sat down on the loveseat.

I just stand behind the big couch.

"Sid man come take a seat. There is room by Brielle," James says.
"Nah, I'm good standing up," I say.
"Sit down Sid, your making me nervous," Tyler say.


Sighing I gave in and sat to the most beauiful woman that I ever saw before besides my mom.


"Thank you," Tyler says.


I knew he was trying something


For the next 2 hours I just sat by her watching tV.


They then talk abour arrangements and get up.


"Your not going?" TK asks.


"Nah, I'll see everyone tomorrow," I say.


"Ok," 
All four of them walk out of the house.


As soon as I knew they left, I started to feel guilty so I walk out the door to rain.
I rush over to my car as I unlock it and get in.


Quickly I begin the car up and head down the driveway for the road.


Getting onto the street, I say to my car to call Mario.


"hey sid, where are you?" Mario asks.


"Down the street, where does the girls live at?"
He gives me the address.


"Thanks,"
I press a button then say the address to the house.


The rain got harder and harder and as I got close then all of a sudden a power pole came down onto the road as I stop before hitting it.




I could have died that day but didn't Brielle was there for me and so was LC.


"Mr. Crosby?"
I look up to see the doctor there.
I get up so fast.


"Is she ok?" I ask.


"We just put a breathing tube down into her lungs. Her breathing was going down. I pray we don't have to put life support on her,"
Tears come down my eyes.


"Can I see her?" I ask.


"Go ahead,"
I walk into the room as the doctor closes the door behind me as I sit down in the chair.


"Brielle the first day I ever met you, you caught my eyes and been on my mind every since then. Please don't die on me," I say as i look at her with everything on her.

Chapter 19// Crying

*I'll be writing this chapter all in Sidney's point of view*


I just walk back and forth on the floor of the ER as I think what if she dies. It's my fault for her death. I couldn't take that.

My phone then goes off in my pocket.

"Get me if the doctors come out please," I ask before I walk outside to answer my phone.

"Hello," I say.

"Where are you?"
It's mom.

"I'm at the hospital in Pittsburgh, its Brie not me,"

"what happened to her?"

"Well her ex was up at the arena so we both went in together. She talked to him until he got me mad enough that I started fighting him. He then got on top of my and punched me. She tired to get him off but he hit her to the ground. I dont know how she is and it's driving me nuts,"

"Oh my god, I hope she is ok,"

"Me too mom,"

"Want us to come down there?"

"Nah stay with Nat and let her know. Mario already knows so he might be down here,"

"Doesn't the plane leave tonight for Philly?"

"I won't be on it, might not be in the game. Can't do hockey knowing my girlfriend is in the hosptial.

"We can extend our trip and stay at the hosptial with Brie,"

"LC probably will be here, she won't go no where,"

"You need to be there for the team,"

"I'm not going, I'll talk to Dan about it,"
Just as I say that Mario comes walking up.

"Gotta go mom,"
I hang up the phone.

"Hear anything about her?" Mario asks.

"Nothing yet,"
Just then James came running out.

"The doctor is hear about Brie,"
I rush in behind James as I stood there.

"Is this everyone?"
I look behind me a Mario is there.

"Yes," I say.

"You all family?"

"I'm here sister, this is her brother in law, her husband and our father," LC says.
She just lied for us.

"Ok, follow me to a room please,"
They get up as we follow them down to a room.

As I walked in I knew it was bad news.

"Ok, well Brielle has a concussion. She is also is in a coma that we don't know if she will get out of it. If she does, she might have memory loss but not sure until she wakes up,"

"Oh my god, is there anything else?" LC asks crying.

"She has a ankle sprain but thats nothing. She is on IV's and montiors for now,"

"She isn't on no breathing machines?" LC asks.

"Not at this time no, she will stay in the ICU until she wakes up. Would you like to see her?"

"Yes," I say.

"Only two at a time, the other two can go back to the waiting room.

"Me and you Sid," LC says.
I don't know why she picked me to go before James or Mario.

"Alright follow me," He says as we get up and walk behind him into the hosptial then to the ICU area.

"She is in bed 1, the door opens and closes but we can see her though," he says.

"Thank you,"
We walk to that room.

"Sidney go in first," LC says.

"You go in first," I say.

"Dont know if I can handle it,"

"I'm right here, I don't know if I will either,"
LC grabs me hand as me move the door and walk into the room.

She has a oxygen canula on her nose, and IV in her arms and alot of montiors connected on her.

"Oh Brielle," LC says as she walks over to the bed as I follow her.

"You will be ok sis, you just got to come out of this. If you don't I only have my child as family,"
LC begins to cry as I pet her back as I knew James should have went first.

"I can't do this anymore," LC says as she walks out of the room in tears.

I sit down in the chair as I just look at her, tears escaped down my face.

"I'm so sorry Brie baby. I shouldn't have started that fight with him,"
I grab her hand in mine as I begin to cry.

Sitting there for along time, I just stare at her and cry. I couldn't stop crying as a knock came at the door.
Turning I see Mario walking in.

"She looks bad Sid," Mario says as he leans against the wall.

"I know, I did this Mario,"

"Don't blame it on you Sid, it's her ex's fault not yours,"

I didn't see it that way.

"James and LC headed back to the house, then LC is staying with me and Nat for a few days while you boys are outta town,"

"I'm not going Mario, I can't leave her side I just can't,"

"I'll stay up here with her if I have too to get you to go to Philly. You have a team that needs there captain,"
He's right.

"I'll catch a plane tomorrow, I'm not going anywhere tonight,"

"You need to eat, we will go eat them come back ok?"
Just as he said that the doctor walks in.

"Whats your number Sid?" the doctor asks as I gave him the number.

"I'll call you if she changes. Please go get food before you end up here as well,"

"Yes sir," I say as I stand up and walk over to Brie.

"I'll be back baby,"
I kiss her on the head as I walk out of the room which Mario.

We head out of the ER and out the door to the hosptial.

"Sidney she will be ok, she has been through a lot in her life. she will over come this," Mario says as we walk back to the CEC.

"If I ever see John Tavares again I'm going to beat the shit out of him," I say as we walk into the building.
I looked over to the same space that Brielle was in I begin to let tears go knowing she was in a hosptial and I wasnt with her right now.

"Come on Sid,"
We make our way down the locker room as I walk in to see Dan packing his things.

"Hey Sid, whats wrong?" Dan asks.

"I'll make a flight to Philly tomorrow night Dan. Brielle got hurt," I say.

"Oh no, I hope she is ok,"

"It isn't looking good,"

"Keep your head up Sid. If you need to miss the game on Thursday then do it. If you believe you need to stay here with her then do it. I know how close you two have become,"

"Thanks Dan,"
He walks over to me and gives a a little hug.

"Your welcome kid,"
I walk into another room as Mario is just putting the jelly away.

"Here eat this," Mario says as he hands me a plates with a PB&J sandwich on it.

"Thanks Mario," I say as I dug into the sandwich which tastes so good.

After I ate and got something I drink I head back for Mercy hosptial.
I walk in and check in with the front nurse and got a pass as I head back to Brie's room.

Her door is shut, the doctor is in there working on her as tears escaped my eyes.
I sit down on the floor and cry

"Lord please don't take my Brielle away. Please!!" I exclaim as I still cry.

Chapter 18// Is she ok?

I look into Sidney's eyes as I kiss him.

"I love you Brie," Sidney says.

"I love you too Sidney," I say just as my phone rings.
I pull it out as I say "Hello,"

"Hey Brielle, I need you at the arena? I need you for something. Where are you now?"Mario asks.

"I'm with LC at an appointment," I say.

"Well ask her you drop you off,"

"I will do, can Sidney go with me?"

"Yes he can, get down here with you can,"

"Alright I will,"
I hang up the phone.

"I have to go to the arena," I say.

"I'll go with you, John isn't going to hurt you in any kind of way," Sidney says.
I was nervous cause John can come up with creative things.

I watch as LC and John walk out of the door.

"I'm ready to go home," LC says.

"Hey before that, James can you take me and Sidney to the CEC? Mario called me in there and needs me," I ask.

"Sure I can do that, no problem,"

"Thanks James,"
LC, James, myself, and Sidney walk out of the doctors office and back into the car.

After getting in James pulls out and heads for Pittsburgh.

"LC thank you for allowing me to be here with you for our first ultrasound," I say.

She turns around.

"I wouldn't want it any other way,"
She smiles as me as hands me the ultrasound again as I just stare at it.
I move over some and show Sidney as he smiled a little. I knew if he got me pregnant he would smile.

"Here," I say as I hand it back to her.

Me and LC just talk about the baby as Sidney and James none other, hockey.

Then James pulls up outside the CEC as I look out and seen the big building.

"Thanks James," I say.

"If you need a ride back, let me know. I will come back and get you guys," James says as Sidney and I make our way out of the SUV.

"Thanks James, I will do that. Take care of thoses two," I say as I close the door and walk up to the front doors of the CEC.

"Let's go in together," Sidney says as we both enter the front door and see John standing right there before the stairs.

"There you are, finally fucking time," John says as he walks over to me as I move.

"Why are you doing this?"

"John we are done and have been," I say.
sidney is right by my side.

"He isn't gonna treat you right Brielle," John says as he points to Sid.

"I treat her better then you dick," sidney says.

"Yeah right, you have a pussy that you can't come,"
Sidney then ran over and started to beat the living shit out of John.

"Don't you say that you fuckhead, I treat her way better then you and guess what we are pregnant,"
My eyes open wide when he said that.

"Haha, I got her pregnant first dick,"

"You made her have a misscarrige,"
Sidney then throw more punches as I ran to the front desk.

"Call sercuity now," I say as I walk back over and Sidney is on his back with John kicking his ass.

"John get off of him!!!" I yell as I grab his arms to try to make him move but he just moved me as I land on my head.

Sidney's Point of View

I see Brielle on the ground.

"Brie!!!" I yell and nothing happened.
I push John off of me with what I had and I ran over to her just as sercruity arrives.

"Brielle, baby," I say as I watch her lay there lifeless.
Tears begin to escape my eyes.

"Call 911, NOW!!!" I yell at the top of my lungs.

"Sidney what is going... Brielle,"
I then see Mario kneel down besides me.

Then I hear"Clear her,"
It takes alot to get me up and walk not far from her as the paramedics come rushing in.

Mario walks over by me.

"I hope she will be ok," Mario says.

"Me too. I gotta call LC," I say as I get my phone out and dial James's number.

"Hey Sid, whats up?" James asks.

"Go to Mercy now," I say.

"whats going on? You ok?"

"Nealer just go, Brie has been injuried,"

"Oh my god, I'm turning around now,"
I hang up as they got Brie on a gurney.

"Can I go with her please?" I ask a paramedic.

"Yes Mr.Crosby,"
I walk behind him as Mario says "Update me"

I  watch as they put her in as I get in the back as the door closes.

Just sitting down I see an IV in her arm, something around her head and neck.
Tears just escape my eyes as I gently grab her hand in mine.

John is going to pay big time, he injuried Brielle.

The ambluence then stops as the doors open.
I get down as I watch them wheel her into the doors.

"Sir your going to have to wait in the waiting room please,"
I then walk to the main doors as I walked in.

"Sidney where is she?" LC says as she comes over to me, with tears in her eyes.

"Shes in the ER,"

"What happened?"

"John was at the arena, she talked to him then I got in a fight with him. she tired to stop it but ended up getting tosses on the floor,"

"I will never forgive you Sidney if she dies,"
